Qi Healing Experience (12/07/2011) –   Mabel Au (Lao Mei Bao) Class of 2005

    Sport/Exercise Injury

In March 2011, I started Zumba, a dance fitness program for health and for fun at the gymnasium five days a week.  Each class is 1 – 1.5 hrs long, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning routine. After a couple of months of exercising, my ankles (hurt twice), my wrists, my knees and my back hurt due to trying too hard to follow the dance steps and wearing the wrong pair of exercise shoes. I felt exhausted, miserable and the body pain caused me to miss a few days of work, which required sitting and working at the computer eight hours a day.

    Self Healing

My first instinct is to heal myself with Qi. I applied Qi to the areas of my body where it hurt and also use a combination of acupressure techniques to relief aches and pain. I applied Qi about 5 – 10 minutes per session/five sessions per day to treat the injured areas. My right ankle did not feel any pain in three days; however, I accidentally injured it again and it took almost two months to get well. The lesson I learnt is that the body takes time to heal, so rest well.  DON”T hurry back to our normal routine too soon.

Recovery, Qi Gong Practice & Detoxification

My wrists, my knees and my back pain were gone in three days, but I did not go back to the fitness routine until summer.  I continued to practice Qi Gong (standing pose) every day to strengthen and cultivate Qi in Dian Tian. I realized that when my Qi was abundant and strong, it would drive illness away. I frequently practiced Qi Gong (lying pose), fell asleep, and skipped the closing routine step. During sleep, Qi flushed out toxins through the Yong Quan. Qi flowed through the major meridians in my sub consciousness, and I knew illness had left me even though I was not wake. The results of my annual physical checkup reported improved health; including the cholesterol level has dropped to the normal level!

My new experience with Qi detoxification is that bad Qi or toxin leaving the body via the bones and skeleton. It was shocking because as the Qi travelled through the blocked/or the parts of my body that was ill, I felt sharp pain and healing sensation at the same time. Fortunately, it only lasted 10 minutes.

    Qi Healing

I returned to the Zumba fitness program, pain-free, and dancing became very enjoyable!   The idea of Qi healing for sports injury encouraged me to talk to my fitness coach, Alex to endorse me to help my classmates who got hurt during exercise. I found out that people could get hurt from practicing Yoga, weight lifting, kickboxing, cardio training, ball game practice and swimming, just to name a few. I have helped over 20 people with knee pain, ankle pain, back pain, carpel tunnel symptoms etc. to get well.

Qi healing for sports injury is most effective when Qi is applied to the injured area within one week of the accident. My method is to convey my loving and caring thoughts, encourage the patient to relax and talk about the injury, and apply Qi. My patients have given me feedback and most of the pain disappeared from 10 minutes to three days.

    Thankful Thoughts

Every time I healed someone I thought about Master Zhao, who has given me this gift to help myself and others in pain. Every day of my life, I am thankful for Master Zhao’s generosity of giving Qi to his students and continue to nurture us with his kindness and wisdom. I am thankful for Sharon who set a good example, and provides the online access for sharing our experience. Thanks Rosita Lam for building the web project to make the online sharing happen. This will benefit the MZI community with a life-enriching knowledge base and the roadmap to advance to a higher level of awareness and healthy living.

I am thankful that my family members: Andre, Raiman, Jennifer and I have been blessed with Master Zhao’s Qi. I thank my classmates of 2005 for the annual gatherings. We shared valuable experience as we grow and continue our journey in search of Qi.

May the Qi with you always!

    Regards,

    Mabel Au
