Report of qigong practice experience by Amy Lin (July, 2014)
I am very grateful to Master Zhao (趙大師). It’s truly a life-transforming experience to be Master Zhao’s qigong student and be part of this big MZI family.
I was very weak and has had various physical infirmities since I was a child. In 2006, I got a sudden illness which left me with severe dizziness. Even though I was a pharmacist, I didn’t believe in drugs . Ms. Alice Chen highly recommended Master Zhao qigong therapy which doesn’t use drug nor radiation nor shot. My severe dizziness got so bad that I felt like I was falling down at work. I called MZI office to make appointment to see Master Zhao. Thanks to Sharon (師母), she patiently teach me over the phone how to relieve my severe dizziness by ‘focusing on thinking of my feet想腳’ which help me get through the work day prior to the meeting with Master Zhao for qi treatment. Master Zhao diagnosed my problems very promptly and accurately and he treated my severe dizziness with his therapeutic qi successfully.
After been treated by Master Zhao, I was thinking of signing up the MZI Introductory Qigong Workshop to learn “Information Rehabilitation Qigong” to further improve my health. I was hesitating for I am very retarded on doing any physical exercises and I was not sure if I were able to learn qigong.
In few years, I was fortunate to know my kind neighbor Judy Lin. Her testimony inspired me to attend the MZI Introductory Qigong Workshop. I am so happy the poses that Master Zhao teach us is so very simple and easy to learn. Master Zhao boost his good qi to help us to have a quick jump start of positive qi during the qigong class. The daily practice help me get rid of bad qi from my body or from the surrounding environment I had been exposed to. Amazingly, the simple poses lead me into many impossible-to-achieve poses such as ‘up-side-down 倒立’ and extensive flexible stretching/bending/twisting of all my body parts yet very gentle and soothing. It not only relieve my daily stress but also greatly improve my health both physically and spiritually. Sometimes my head would repeatedly knock the ground to relieve dizziness and promote oxygen supply to my brain. Sometimes I would rub back of my sore waist to relieve waist pain. Qi-practice lead me into various elegant dynamic movements (like dancing) to tone my muscles on my hands and legs. These movements also adjust my posture and figure in very pleasant enjoyable ways. The poses comes with my qi-practice differ each time— they are custom-made according to my best need each day. Day by day, not only my dizziness, inflamed shoulder, and poor-circulated right feet got cured, I also get back into better toned shape. My wholebeing is rejuvenated and I gain more energy and strength not only enough to deal with daily life but even better, to enjoy life peacefully to a deeper spiritual level. Practicing qigong is not a mundane homework which I would have never been able to follow. Instead, it’s an intimate joyful connection with upper Spirit within my inmost being and unity of healing and art in unexplainable super gentle power. The beauty of it is you can practice freely from depth of your spirit without carrying any burdensome equipment or special setting. Such enjoyment and elevation of life is beyond my expression. Qi healing practice indeed get into the root of my mind, body, and soul.
It has always been my passionate dream to help people to achieve their optimal health without consuming any drugs. One day, my kind generous friends Arthur and Kangwen took me and my big brother to hike in SF. When Kangwen excitedly announced she was accepted to the 2014 MZI Advanced Qigong (Information Therapeutic Qigong) class, amazingly I got so deeply inspired and I felt my innermost fervent desire to learn deeper in qigong. While we were still waiting in line to be served at a restaurant, Arthur enthusiastically emailed Sharon to request an interview opportunity for me. Not only I was granted the interview opportunity, I am so blessed to be accepted into 2014 MZI Advanced Qigong (Information Therapeutic Qigong) class. With my deep gratitude, I cherish this precious opportunity to learn first-hand Qi from our kind Master Zhao and to nurture the qi-practice interactions within MZI family. I sincerely hope to advance my healing qi to deeper smooth level so I can help people in need and improve their health from within.
