People who know about Master Zhao’s Qigong healing remember the Huayi Clinic (華怡診所), which was the first Qigong clinic recognized officially by the Chinese Government. The Huayi Clinic was well- known as the “mystical kingdom.” The clinic was far away from the city, but a stream of people flocked in from all over China. Sometimes clients had to wait in line for days and nights to be seen by Master Zhao. Within four years, Master Zhao healed over sixty thousand patients. Many newspapers and TV stations had special reports about his miraculous healing ability.
From a very young age, Master Zhao has dreamed of becoming a doctor because of his own illnesses. His latent miraculous ability was unleashed by Qigong practice. He created a unique method of Qigong healing. He is able to diagnose patients without any conventional devices or patients’ descriptions. He can receive the waves of information transmitted from the patients’ bodies; he can uncover the cause, diagnose current situation, and detect future illnesses. When the patient cannot visit him personally, Master Zhao can retrieve information from photos, writing, or other personal possessions in order to detect the illnesses of the patient.
Master Zhao has traveled from the East to the West. For the last thirty years, his amazing ability along with his compassionate heart has revived many sick people and soothed many hearts. Both prominent and ordinary people seek Master Zhao’s healing. His extraordinary ability has been reported and documented in numerous newspapers and magazines, as well as validated and supported by Chinese government officials, scientists, and medical doctors. People continue retelling their own or others’ astonishing experiences with Master Zhao’s miraculous healing power.
Newspapers’ Reports

One reporter from Yangcheng Evening News (羊城晚報) was suspicious of Master Zhao’s healing power. One day the reporter sent eight patients to be diagnosed by Master Zhao. All the diagnoses made by Master Zhao were identical with the ones made by western doctors. The astonished reporter composed a special report for the YEN newspaper on November 16, 1986.
In 1988, US Time Magazine reported Master Zhao’s special healing ability and his patients’ testimonies, indicating a 90% success rate among fifty thousand cases. Nevertheless, Time Magazine quoted his statement,’’ My Qigong healing can help most of the people but not all.”
Government Validation
One day a noted physician, Dr. Yueli Cui (崔月犁), the Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Health (CMH), visited Master Zhao. Dr. Cui brought along a female patient who was a doctor, several officials of CMH as well as a team of reporters and video photographers from the Beijing Television Station. During the video recording of the healing process, Master Zhao named the patient’s complete health history including two surgeries. He spoke with vivid detail about the first unsuccessful surgery. Shortly thereafter the female patient conceded to Dr. Cui with tears in her eyes, “I believe in his amazing power. You won the bet. ”
In reality, the female doctor was the newly appointed Deputy Minister of CMH. She did not believe in Qigong healing and had a wager with Dr. Cui. Taking along a TV crew, she wanted to film the healing process as evidence of the wager. Master Zhao proved himself as a legitimate healer and the diagnosis he provided her matched 100% with the Western medical doctor’s diagnosis.
The next day, the Beijing Television Station reported this astounding event and headlined, “Dr. Cui, the Minister of Chinese Ministry of Health, has personally verified the authenticity of Master Xue Zhong Zhao.” After this challenging victory, Master Zhao was appointed as a Qigong expert and worked in several hospitals. In addition, he was hired as Dr. Cui’s personal adviser when Dr. Cui was the president of the World Qigong Association. At this time, Master Zhao’s work has been established as a rock-solid foundation of Qigong healing in Chinese medical history.
Medical Doctors’ Support
In December 1986, Dr. Ang from Beijing Health Department accompanied Guiying Li and her husband to visit Master Zhao. Bringing two CT films with them, they intended to verify Master Zhao’s ability in making the correct diagnosis. Again Master Zhao’s diagnosis matched precisely her two CT films. |
In 1984, Dr. Guang Zhao (趙光大夫) was one of the most famous Qigong masters in China. He was one of a few Qigong masters who implemented external Qi with Chinese medicine in healing; therefore, the novice Master Zhao respectfully solicited the teachings from Dr. Zhao. Dr. Zhao showed Master Zhao several letters and Master Zhao correctly named the illness of each writer. Dr. Zhao was astounded by Master Zhao’s special ability, but kindly warned Master Zhao of the potential danger for emitting external energy. Master Zhao gratefully but stubbornly stated, “I have no fear of death because I have been close to death before. I want to devote my life to healing.” In two months, Master Zhao healed Dr. Zhao’s niece, GuiQing Guo, who had had a spinal tumor. Later Master Zhao took her in as his apprentice and she became his best assistant. |
Dr. Jieping Wu (吳階平大夫) had a fortuitous encounter on a train, which turned out to be predestined. Doctor Wu, a prominent urologist and the President of the Chinese Medical Association, was a leading physician for Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other Chinese leaders. On the train ride, Dr. Wu mentioned a few names of his friends, and Master Zhao was able to accurately specify and identify all their illnesses. After witnessing Master Zhao’s extraordinary ability in making diagnoses at a distance, Doctor Wu said, “Congratulations! You are an exceptional talent for China. ” Then Dr. Wu continued to advise Master Zhao that he should not waste precious time on a useless diploma and title. With tearful eyes, Dr. Wu confided, “You need to discover and train more talents like yourself.” “Very hard! The opposition force is too big,” replied Master Zhao. Both of them absolutely recognized the challenge of convincing people to accept Qigong. The meeting with Dr. Wu was unforgettable and inspirational. Master Zhao constantly reminds himself of Dr. Wu’s encouragement to pursue discovering Qigong talents. |
Scientific Verification
Professor Wang, a renowned medical expert, had monitored Master Zhao’s healing technique for many years. He stated, “Master Zhao’s ability is outstanding and surpasses some modern procedures and medical devices. In a few seconds, Master Zhao can produce diagnosis that would take more than one week for hospitals to perform. The result from Master Zhao’s healing is unimaginable. At this time, this form of healing science is inexplicable; however, this kind of phenomenon does have precedents in the history of human sciences.”
The external Qi emitted by Master Zhao is a type of wave with vital energy. This special energy can reduce inflammation and infection, clear physiological and psychological pathways, invigorate blood flow, promote metabolism, diminish body waste or cumulated toxins, and, eventually, enable the human body to return to a genuine healthy state.
Dr. Jinding Jia (賈金鼎博士), a researcher from The National Physical Culture Commission Research Institute, and six other scientists had conducted an experiment on Master Zhao’s external Qi. Master Zhao emitted his external Qi on a person’s head in which electroencephalogram (EEG) indicated an abnormally low electrical activity on his left brain when compared to his right brain. Five minutes later, the person’s EEG had shown a drastic change that the electrical activity on the left brain had increased substantially. The EEG experiment indicated that external Qi, an invisible substance, can produce a positive physiological effect on the human brain; therefore, the external Qi can be employed in human healing.
In 1986, a renowned American genetics expert, professor Man-Jiang Niu (牛滿江教授), who was an adviser for the Chinese Institute of Developmental Biology and a research director for Nucleic Acids Research of the Chinese Academy of Science, and his wife visited Master Zhao. Master Zhao not only healed Mrs. Niu, but also diagnosed Doctor Niu’s ailment. In fact, Master Zhao’s diagnosis was identical to test results performed by advanced medical technology in the U.S. Dr. Niu described his experience with Master Zhao as “supreme knowing.”
A Famous Poet’s Story

In art and cultural circles, many celebrities such as Ai Qing (艾青) were Master Zhao’s patrons. Ai Qing, a well-known poet in China, won the Portugal Medal of Freedom Award, cultural and arts awards in France as well as other international honors. However, in the early Cultural Revolution, Ai Qing had been tortured and consequently suffered many illnesses. He later visited Master Zhao hoping his frequent urination could be alleviated. In two treatments, his problem was cured. He could now finish watching two movies without a trip to the restroom. With appreciation and astonishment, he wrote, “miracle hands.” In 1987, when a Japanese company was making a film about the poet, right before the shooting, Ai Qing fell down. His face and eyes were swollen. Master Zhao created a big Qi circle and using both hands surrounded Ai Qing’s head. Thirty minutes later, Ai Qing’s face and eyes returned to normal. He beamed joyously and said: “Master Zhao, your hands are truly unique in the whole world.
Ordinary People’s Stories
On May 16, 1987, Mr. Ma made a stop in Beijing during a business trip. He suddenly had pain in the sciatic nerve, with which he had chronic problems. Even though he was apprehensive of Qigong healing, he eventually came to Master Zhao’s clinic. Master Zhao reassured him, “Don’t be afraid. I will not even touch you.” Master Zhao administered external Qi to Mr. Ma’s brain, heart and waist. Ten minutes later, he said, “All right, you can stand up and walk around now.” Mr. Ma hesitantly stood up and walked around cautiously. To his amazement, Mr. Ma walked around the clinic three times. All the people and patients in the clinic applauded cheerfully for his startling improvement. After seven treatments, Mr. Ma was fully recovered. |
At the end of 2005, Mr. Ho was diagnosed with the third stage of pharyngeal cancer. He had already received forty radiotherapies and three chemotherapies. After his third chemotherapy, he was hardly able to walk. He began a month-long journey to seek alternative medicine in China and Hong Kong. Disappointed, he came back to the U.S. In the past, he had heard of Master Zhao. At that time, he believed neither in Chinese medicine nor in Qigong. Now Qiong was his last resort. Because of his sincerity, Master Zhao decided to help him despite his contaminated physical condition. Due to the frequent chemotherapies, Mr. Ho had already lost his sense of smell and taste; he could barely swallow. After the first Qigong treatment, he could eat without much difficulty. After several treatments, he regained physical strength and his sense of smell and taste. Later, the tests ordered by his doctor were free of cancer. Master Zhao explained that Mr. Ho’s house, the land and trees around it all imposed a threat to human health and whoever lived in that house would be sick. Mr. Ho immediately sold the house. The move enhanced his health. In fact, his real estate agent revealed that the previous owner’s father died of pharyngeal cancer. Consequently, Mr. Ho had complete faith in Master Zhao’s statement. Master Zhao not only healed him but also taught him how to live harmoniously with nature. For Mr. Ho, respecting all living creatures was a valuable lesson learned from this trying illness. |
A doctor, working at Taipei Medical University, accompanied her six-year-old daughter from Taiwan to see Master Zhao. Her daughter suffered from epilepsy and had nine seizures a year. Being a doctor, she clearly understood the side effects that the heavy dosage epilepsy medicine had on her daughter’s kidneys and liver. However, despite the medicine the young girl continued having seizures and her brain waves were still abnormal. As a Western medical doctor, she had no faith in Qigong healing abilities. For the sake of her daughter’s health, she agreed to Qigong healing for both her daughter and herself. After eight Qigong treatments, the young girl regained her youthful look and strength. Looking at her daughter’s healthy glow, the mother was overjoyed with tears. With profound gratitude, she was immersed in the deep sea of Master Zhao’s heartfelt love. |
A couple who traveled from Canada to seek Master Zhao’s healing wrote in their journal, “My husband and I have had pain for a long time. He suffers from gout and high blood pressure. For me, the most bothersome ailments are routine headaches and pain from monthly periods. During the first visit, Master Zhao performed his impressive ‘three- second scanning’ on each of us and listed all our illnesses. Even what we considered minor illnesses, he factually named every single one. My husband has a total of fifteen and I have eleven. Although we have heard of Master Zhao’s amazing ability, we were still shocked when we experienced the healing in person. I thought my husband had better health than I; however, it turns out that he has more serious problems. According to Master Zhao’s explanation, my husband is insensitive to his own body, so he is unaware of his sickness. Furthermore, Master Zhao explained that my husband’s weak kidneys are due to taking too many antibiotics, too much coldness from eating cold food, sleeping on a cold floor on hot days, too much air conditioning blowing directly onto his head, etc. There are many more correct and shocking details from his past.” |
Master Zhao consistently emphasizes that a doctor needs to understand the precious value of life and treat each patient as his own family member. He emphasizes that Qigong healing needs to be joining hands with Chinese and western medicine for the patient’s utmost benefit. Strange diseases and incurable ailments especially interest and challenge him; however, he encourages patients to seek available tests and advanced technology provided by western medicine. He understands the importance of psychology and often applies it to his healing process.
He heals his patient as a whole being who needs to keep inner and outer environments healthy. When receiving healing from Master Zhao, his patient learns how to cultivate his own mind, body and spirit wholly by practicing self-awareness. Being a Qi-nourishing spirited individual, each healthy patient takes care of his family. Everyone’s positive energy contributing to society means that the world will be harmonious and peaceful. This is a noble goal of Master Zhao, a miraculous healer.
